Midsummer Flamenco Show by Kuwahara Reika Total Dance School. The school's director, Kuwahara Reika, has been involved in dance and flamenco for many years, and in 2004 she received the International Arts and Culture Award from the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
~~Flamenco originated among the Gypsies (Roma) in the Andalusia region of Spain around the 18th century!~~
Many people associate this passionate dance with Gypsies.
The flamenco guitar, the intense footwork known as zapateado, and the rhythm of the castanets will thrill the viewer with the intense emotions contained within the surging sounds and dance.
We hope that this event will be enjoyed not only by flamenco enthusiasts, but also by a wide audience.
